About Erich Law and Its Founding Attorney
Erich Law, PLLC was founded in 2018 by Christopher (“Chris”) Erich, Esq. (Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida (2017) and the Commonwealth of Virginia (2023)).
Chris earned his B.A. in Romance Languages (Spanish and French) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2005. Through reading and analyzing the classic works of writers such as Miguel de Cervantes, Voltaire, Duque de Rivas, and Rafael Alberti, Chris earned a healthy appreciation for the persuasive power of the written word.
A decade later, while working toward his juris doctor degree at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, Chris drew inspiration from philosophy and jurisprudence, the bedrock upon which our current legal system is founded. In his second year, Chris served as an associate editor of Ave Maria’s Law Review as well as in the Estate Planning and General Practice Clinic, where he was exposed to academic and technical legal writing.
Chris’s drive to become the best legal writer possible drew the attention of Fort Myers personal injury and employment law attorneys, Jason Gunter and Conor Foley, who began to engage Chris in project-based legal writing, such as demand letters, pleadings, and legal briefs. Chris worked for Gunterfirm through the rest of his law school career and the first 18 months that followed, learning the art and practice of litigation in the state and federal courts of Southwest Florida.
In May 2018, Attorney Erich struck out on his own, forming Erich Law, PLLC. Chris’s vision was to operate a solo, remote, transactional-based Florida law firm, specializing in business formations, corporate governance, business tax advice, and employment law, along with a robust estate planning and probate practice. By adopting innovative technology and combining it with his own expertise in legal writing, Attorney Erich has been able to realize his goals by keeping overhead costs low while producing the superior written work product for which Erich Law, PLLC, is known. Erich Law’s “lean business model” helps Attorney Erich to remain competitive without sacrificing quality.
In mid-2022, Erich Law’s founding attorney moved to Virginia, where he continues to practice Florida law. Attorney Erich passed the February 2023 Virginia Bar Exam and has been dual-licensed in both the State of Florida and the Commonwealth of Virginia since June 2023.
